Abstract

In Islamic society, mosque is an important instrument and the identity of the islamic community itself. Therefore, the mosque management becomes more important to maintain physical and prosperity of the activities of the mosque so that it should understand that good governance of the mosque administration. Therefore, administrator of the mosque have to meet the comprehensive requirements such as intelligence, managerial skills, skills, and a good work ethic. In addition, they must meet specific requirements with regard to the breadth of knowledge of Islam, insight about the management of the mosque, the quality of faith and piety, as well as high respobility in realizing the ideals of Islam, which is to make Islamic values as rahmatan lil 'alamin. With the administrative system are laid out well and qualified personnel who meet the requirements above, the existence of the mosque would not only be efficient but also effective as a center of workship and the center of the empowerment of the people, which in turn not only benefits the internal circles of the muslims but also to the changes and development of socio-cultural system of human life.
