Abstract

INDONESIA : Lahirnya Nahdlatul Ulama di Surabaya pada 1926 merupakan respon dari tradisi-tradisi keagamaan di Indonesia yang dibawa oleh Walisanga mulai dihancurkan oleh kelompok anti tradisional atas gerakan modernisasi pada zaman pergerakan nasional dan situasi politik Internasional yang berubah semenjak runtuhnya dinasti Utsmani pada 1924. Hal tersebut berpengaruh terhadap Eksistensi NU di Jawa Barat (Tatar Sunda) dalam usahanya mengenalkan paham Ahlussunah Waljamaah yang dipraktekan oleh para Walisanga. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Eksistensi Nahdlatul Ulama di Jawa Barat pada 1931-1967; Proses Perkembangan NU, Eksistensi Cabang-Cabangnya, dan eksistensinya pada masa transisi dari Orde Lama ke Orde Baru. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian sejarah, dengan menggunakan tahapan-tahapan sejarah yang meliputi Heuristik, Kritik, Interpretasi dan Historiografi. Teori yang digunakan adalah teori Fungsionalisme Struktural dari Talcott Parsons tentang sistem tindakan. Teori ini menyatakan bahwa sistem sosial yang menggerakan manusia terjadi karena adanya faktor kultural, perilaku, kepribadian, dan aktor yang saling mempengaruhi. Sehingga akan menciptakan perubahan dalam masyarakat. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian didapatkan kesimpulan sebagai berikut: (1). Berdirinya NU di Jawa Barat terjadi pada 1931 dengan diadakannya Congres NU ke-6 di Cirebon dan mulai dikenal oleh masyarakat Jawa Barat (Tatar Sunda) dengan diadakannya Congres NU ke-7 di Bandung 1932 (2). Eksistensi cabang-cabang NU di Jawa Barat mulai dikenal oleh masyarakat Jawa Barat pada tahun 1931 dan tahun 1932 dan mulai berkembang di berbagai daerah serta puncaknya ketika NU menjadi partai politik berdasarkan Muktamar ke-19 di Palembang 1952 dengan agenda untuk memenangkan Pemilu 1955 di Jawa Barat dengan perolehan suara ke-4 setelah Masyumi, PKI, dan PNI. Dari inilah eksistensi NU di Jawa Barat mulai mendapatkan simpati dan pengikut yang banyak dari masyarakat sedangkan eksistensi cabang-cabang NU di Jawa Barat berkembang pesat pada tahun 1952-1959 ketika NU merubah haluan organisasinya dari jami’yah menjadi Partai Politik. (3). Adapun transisi NU Jawa Barat pada masa Orde Lama ke Orde Baru merupakan sikap NU dalam merubah organisasinya dari Jamiyah ke Partai Politik puncaknya terjadi ketika pemberontakan yang dilakukan oleh PKI pada 1965 merupakan respon NU Jawa Barat dalam menghancurkan pengaruh komunis di Indonesia dibuktikan dengan Muktamar NU ke-24 di Bandung pada 1967 dengan mendukung Pancasila. ENGLISH : The birth of the Nahdlatul Ulama in Surabaya in 1926 was a response from religious traditions in Indonesia brought by Walisanga which began to be destroyed by anti-traditional groups over the modernization movement in the era of national movements and the changing political situation since the fall of the Ottoman dynasty in 1924 The existence of NU in West Java (Tatar Sunda) in its efforts to introduce the understanding of Ahlussunah Waljamaah practiced by Walisanga. This study aims to determine the existence of Nahdlatul Ulama in West Java in 1931-1967; The Process of NU Development, Existence of Branches, and its existence during the transition from the Old Order to the New Order. This study uses historical research methods, using historical stages which include Heuristics, Criticism, Interpretation and Historiography. The theory used is the theory of Structural Functionalism from Talcott Parsons about the system of action. This theory states that social systems that move people occur because of cultural factors, behavior, personality, and actors that influence each other. So that it will create change in society. Based on the results of the research, the following conclusions were obtained: (1). The establishment of NU in West Java took place in 1931 with the holding of the 6th NU Congress in Cirebon and began to be known by the people of West Java (Tatar Sunda) with the holding of the 7th NU Congress in Bandung 1932 (2). The existence of NU branches in West Java began to be known by the people of West Java in 1931 and 1932 and began to develop in various regions and the peak of compilation was by agreeing to the 4th vote after Masyumi, PKI, and PNI. From this the existence of NU in West Java began to gain a lot of sympathy and followers from the community while the existence of NU branches in West Java grew rapidly in 1952-1959 when NU changed the direction of its organization from jami'yah to a Political Party. (3). The NU West Java transition during the Old Order to the New Order was the attitude of NU in changing its organization from Jamiyah to its peak Political Party when the uprising by the PKI in 1965 was the NU response in destroying communist influence in Indonesia as evidenced by the NU Congress 24 in Bandung in 1967 by supporting Pancasila.
