Abstract

INDONESIA : Black Soldier Fly (Hermetia illucens) adalah jenis lalat yang memiliki kemampuan mengkonversi limbah organik menjadi lemak dan protein dalam biomassa tubuhnya. Kualitas makanan yang tersedia memainkan peran penting dalam perkembangan dewasa selanjutnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pertumbuhan dan perkembangan BSF juga fertilitas dan fekunditas yang dihasilkan saat pemberian media yang memiliki kandungan nutrisi berbeda. Media yang digunakan adalah limbah sayuran (bayam, ceciwis, sawi putih, sawi hijau) dan pakan ayam, perlakuan masing-masing 6 ulangan. Pengukuran pertumbuhan meliputi panjang, lebar, dan berat, selanjutnya dilakukan perhitungan mortalitas, jumlah jantan dan betina, fekunditas, dan fertilitas. Respon perbedaan pertumbuhan dan perkembangan dianalisis menggunakan one way ANOVA dan dilanjutkan uji Duncan pada taraf 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pengukuran panjang tertinggi pada perlakuan B (pakan ayam) yaitu panjang 19.32 mm, lebar sebesar 4.8 mm, dan berat sebesar 0.13 g. Perlakuan C (media limbah sayur ke pakan ayam) menghasilkan mortalitas terendah yaitu sebesar 13.16%, fekunditas tertinggi sebanyak 417.8 butir telur dan fertilitas tertinggi (87%). Untuk jumlah jantan dan betina, BSF betina banyak ditemukan di media pakan ayam (B) dan media dari sayur ke pakan (C). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan kandungan nutrisi yang tinggi protein menentukan jumlah jantan dan betina dan biomassa, sedangkan penggantian jenis media pakan dapat mempengaruhi mortalitas, fekunditas, dan fertilitas. ENGLISH : Black Soldier Fly (Hermetia illucens) is a type of fly that has the ability to convert organic waste into fat and protein in the body’s biomass. The quality of food available plays a key role in the subsequent development of the adult. This study aims to determine the growth, development, fecundity and fertility of BSF by giving media that have different nutrient content. The media used are vegetable waste (spinach, brussels sprout, lettuce, mustard greens), and chicken feed. in each treatment each of 6 replications. Growth measurements include length, width, and weight, while observations include mortality, the number of male and female, fecundity, and fertility. Response to differences in growth and development was analyzed by one way ANOVA followed by Duncan test at the level 5%. The results showed the highest measurements of length and width in treatment B (chicken feed), namely with an average length of 19.32mm and width of 4.8 mm, for the highest weight in treatment B (chicken feed) an average of 0.13g. Treatment C (vegetable waste media into chicken feed) produced the lowest mortality of 13.16%, the highest fecundity was 417.8 eggs and the highest fertility (87%). The number of male and female, more of female BSF is found in chicken feed media. The results of this study indicate that the high protein content of nutrients determines male and female, and biomass, while the replacement of feed media types can affect mortality, fecundity, and fertility.
