Abstract

Barangan (Musa acuminata L.) is a plant that has the largest contribution to national fruit production. The increasing demand for bananas demands the availability of seeds, while conventional cultivation is unable to produce healthy, disease-free seeds in a short amount of time. Culture in tubes provided the purpose of this study was to study leaf fertilizer media on the multiplication of barangan plants (Musa acuminata L.) in vitro. This research was done at the UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung Laboratory from July to September 2018. Treatments were arranged in completely randomized design, and medium tested were ms media (p0) and 0.50 ml L-1 (p1); 0.75 ml L-1 (p2); 1.00 ml L-1 (p3); 1.25 ml L-1 (p4); 1.50 ml L-1 (p5) leaf fertilizer leaves which was repeated 5 times. The results showed that with the addition of leaf fertilizer with a concentration of 1.50 ml L-1, it was able to produce the best roots at the beginning of age at 14.8 HSK per explant, able to produce the best number of leaves with an average of 2.8 strands per explant, increasing the amount roots with an average of 10.4 pieces per explant and were able to produce the best plantlets with an average height of 2.1 cm per explant.
