Abstract

INDONESIA : Proses pembelajaran biologi yang dilaksanakan dengan menggunakan model konvensional berpengaruh terhadap rendahnya kemampuan komunikasi siswa. Siswa cenderung kesulitan dalam mengemukakan pendapat, bertanya, dan belum mampu mengubah bentuk penyajian dalam bentuk bagan, tabel, dan gambar.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keterlaksanaan proses pembelajaran, menganalisis peningkatan kemampuan berkomunikasi, dan mengetahui respon siswa terhadap pembelajaran dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Kooperatif Script berbantu mind mapping pada materi ekosistem. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pre-eksperimen dengan desain one group pretest-posttest. Sampel penelitian adalah kelas X IPA-1 yang berjumlah 32 siswa, diambil dengan teknik purosive sampling. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan yaitu tes, lembar observasi, dan angket. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rata-rata keterlaksanaan aktivitas guru sebesar 86% dengan kategori sangat baik dan aktivitas siswa sebesar 80% dengan kategori baik. Peningkatan kemampuan berkomunikasi tulisan siswa menunjukkan kategori sedang dengan nilai N-gain sebesar 0,60. Rata-rata kemampuan berkomunikasi lisan siswa sebesar 72% dengan kategori cukup. Respon siswa terhadap pembelajaran diperoleh nilai rata-rata sebesar 2,74 dengan kategori sedang. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan model pembelajaran Kooperatif Script berbantu mind mapping dapat membantu meningkatkan kemampuan berkomunikasi siswa pada materi ekosistem. ENGLISH : The process of learning biology that is carried out with conventional learning models affects to the low communication skills of students. Students tend to have difficulty expressing opinions, asking questions and have not been able to change the form of presentation to charts, tables, and pictures form. This study aims to determine the implementation of the learning process, analyze the improvement of students' communication skills, and determine students’ responses to learning by using the Cooperative Script learning model assisted mind mapping on ecosystem material. The pre-experiment with one group pretest-posttest design was used in this research. The research sample was class X IPA-1, amounting to 32 students. The technique sampling used purposive sampling. The research instruments used were tests, observation sheets, and questionnaires. The results showed that the process of learning was 86% for teacher activity (high category) and 80% for student activity (good category). The skills communication of students' writing showed medium category with N-gain skor 0.60. The average percentage of students' verbal communication skills is 72% (medium categories). The student responses to learning model showed an average value of 2.74 (medium category). From the results, can be concluded that the use of Cooperative Script learning model assisted mind mapping can help improve student’s communication skills on ecosystem material.
