Abstract

Social deviation is an action that must be in the community wanted or unwanted. in this case, social control is the key to creating a better social life. social control is carried out together in different ways depending on the status and position of the community. This study aims to find out how social control is carried out by the community in dealing with drunk irregularities in Desa Cikuya. Besides that, this research was conducted to find out how the miras oplosan phenomenon and to find out what are the driving and obstacles factors to social control The theory used is the theory of social control from Durkheim. According to him, social order is needed so that social life can runs peacefully. In fact, applicable laws in society are repressive, it means deviant behavior will be rewarded with a penalty so that irregularities do not recur. According to Soerjono Soekanto, social control can be done by the community through formal and informal institutions. In addition, social control is grouped into two characteristics, namely preventive and repressive. The method used in this study is descriptive, using qualitative data. Research is done by approaching the object of the research. By using this method, the results are expected to be complete. Based on the results of the research, the social control carried out by the Desa Cikuya community was successful because social deviations that occur now are not as many as before. The various controls are carried out, is education and counseling to the public about the dangers of alcohol, psychological sanctions in the form of gossip spread to grow shame feeling. The results of the study prove that the existence of casualties fosters fear in the community for social deviations.
