Abstract
This research has analyzed the various dialogue and narration of actions and thoughts that associated with psychopath which is contained in the main characters, in Saw (2004) movie script written by James Wan and Leigh Whannell. The researcher has chosen that movie script because they have a lot of dialogues and narrations of actions and thoughts associated with a psychopath. The main reason for this research is to examine psychopathic disorder in the main characters. There are two problems to be elaborated in this research; 1) What elements of psychopathic disorder happened to the main characters of Saw (2004) movie script on both psychopathic interpersonal and social deviance. 2) How does the pattern of the main character John Kramer in doing psychopathic disorder elements? This research has been utilized by Robert Hare's (1991) theory and has been strengthened by Hervey Checkley (1988) and Stefan Verstappen (2011) in categorizing the various actions and thoughts of the main characters from 20 psychopathic disorder characteristics. In analyzing the data, the researcher has identified, categorized, interpreted, and concluded data of research descriptively. The researcher has found two elements of psychopathic disorder there are psychopathic interpersonal and social deviance. There are 16 characteristics of the psychopath in the dialogues and narrations in Saw (2004) movie script. The total data found are 70. They consist one glibness or superficial charm, one grandiose sense of self-worth, two pathological lyings, four connings or manipulatives, five shallow affects, seven callousness or lacks of empathies, 20 failures to accept responsibility for own actions, two need for stimulation or proneness to boredom, one parasitic lifestyle, one poor behavioral control, five lacks of realistic and long-term goals, four impulsivity, three irresponsibility, eight juvenile delinquency, two revocation of conditional release, and four criminal versatility. There are three patterns from movie script. The researcher has found manipulation is used by John Kramer making a game that involves Tapp and Zep, criminal is John Kramer commited against his victim began with the first victim killed by him, lie is John Kramer who lied to Adam and Lawrence.
