Abstract
This research entitled “Moses and Pharaoh Story’s Plot Comparison between the Holly Qur’an by Yusuf Ali and the Film the Ten Commandments 2006, it aims to investigate three major statements. There are; Moses and Pharaoh Story’s plot in the holly Qur’an and film, also the comparison between both of the plots. This research uses comparative and descriptive qualitative method. The data were collected from the Holly Qur’an by Yusuf Ali and the film The Ten Commandments 2006. The data were analyzed by the main theory that given by Aristotle in Abrams (2008) and Suzanne Keen (2003) to identify Moses and Pharaoh Story’s plot in the Qur’an and the film. While there is also theory by Rene Wellek (1949) and Spivak in Elmas Sahin (2016) to identify the comparison of the plots between the Qur’an and film. The discussion shows that the plot in line with the theory of the plot that the plot divided into beginning, middle and the end part. It has similarities in quantities aspect and the theme aspect of the plots. While there is also the differences in the series of the events in each plots. In other word in Moses and Pharaoh Story there is addition of the plots before the end of the story or resolution that related to the theory as called multiple plots. The researcher concludes that the research are related between the theory and the analysis of the data, and also the research shows that the finding discussion is suitable with the title of the research itself.
