Abstract
Gugus bola terdiri dari bintang-bintang yang jumlahnya mencapai puluhan hingga jutaan bintang. Penelitian ini mengidentifikasikan kemungkinan anggota gugus bola berdasarkan data dari Gaia DR2. Metode ini terdiri dari dua tahap, tahap pertama yaitu dengan menggunakan algoritma k-means clustering untuk mengelompokkan bintang dengan karakteristik yang sama dan tahap kedua menganalisis kemungkinan anggota gugus bola yang terseleksi di tahap pertama berdasarkan distribusi spasial bintang. Untuk mengonfirmasi metode ini, dilakukan plot diagram spasial, proper motion, dan diagram color-magnitudo. Metode ini aplikasikan untuk beberapa gugus bola, yaitu: NGC 1261, NGC 3201, NGC 6401, NGC 6712, Palomar 1, Palomar 12 dan Palomar 13. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa sebesar 6,91% - 90,10% bintang dengan proper motion pada Gaia DR2 merupakan anggota dari gugus bola. Globular cluster consists of stars number in the tens to million of stars. This study identifies possible members of a globular cluster based on data from Gaia DR2. This method consists of two stages, the first stage is to use the k-means clustering algorithm to group stars with the same characteristics and the second stage analyzes the possible members of the globular cluster selected in the first stage based on the spatial distribution of the stars. To confirm this method, we plot spatial diagrams, proper motion, and color-magnitude diagrams, This method is applied to several globular clusters, namely: NGC 1261, NGC 3201, NGC 6401, NGC 6712, Palomar 1, Palomar 12 and Palomar 13. The results show that in the amount of 6.91% - 90.10% of stars with proper motion on Gaia DR2 are members of a globular cluster.
