Abstract

INDONESIA : Media masa mempunyai peran sangat penting untuk memberikan ruang informasi untuk masyarakat luas, diantaranya informasi berupa tulisan dan fotografi dimana pada era jaman sekarang fotografi adalah sumber informasi awal untuk menyampaikan pesan melalui visual gambar.oleh karna itu peneliti memfokuskan tentang semiotika Roland Barthes yang membahas lebih dalam bagaimana suatu pemaknaan tanda-tanda yang dihasilkan oleh visual gambar. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui sebuah makna yang terkandung dalam rangkaian foto cerita pada Rubik Spektra Harian Umum Pikiran Rakyat edisi 9 september dan 23 september, tentang keadaan masyarakat dan suasana Nusa Tenggara Barat pasca gempa bumi. Dalam penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan secara kualitatif. Proses penelitian tanpa angka atau bilangan, menjadi kategori dalam substansi yang kemudian diinterpretasikan dengan acuan, rujukan buku, dan referensi karya ilmiah. Metodologi tentang semiotika Roland Barthes yang di gunakan oleh peneliti membahas 3 makna tentang tanda-tanda diantaranya yang pertama membahas tentang denotasi bagaimana menjelaskan lapisan pertama penjabaran secara langsung Ketika melihat foto jurnalistik dan dijelaskan secara makna yang terkandung objek, sedangkan tahapan kedua yaitu konotasi pembahasan tentang sebuah tanda-tanda yang terlihat dalam pemaknaan sebuat foto suapaya bisa dijelaskan di tahapan selajutnya dalam pemaknaan mitos/mitologi menjelaskan bahwa bagaimana realitas yang terjadi pada foto sangat dijelaskan dengan keadaan sesunguhnya, dikarenakan foto jurnalistik adalah realitas yang terjadi pada lapisan masyarakat sosial. Semua itu peneliti jabarkan dalam delapan belas foto cerita Rubik Spektra bagaimana menjelaskan 3 makna yang terkandung dalam tanda-tanda analisis semiotika Roland Barthes mengenai foto pasca gempa bumi yang terjadi di Nusa Tenggara Barat dengan fokus penelitian denotasi,konotasi,dan mitos. bertujuan menyampaikan pesan melalui visual agar masyarakat tahu bagai mana kondisi pasca bencana alam yang terjadi. Dalam hal ini peneliti sangat mengikuti unsur-unsur penelitian dari semiotika Roland Bartehes tentang pemaknaan foto jurnalistik yang mengandung pesan tentang tiga makna di atas. ENGLISH : The mass media has a very important role in providing information space for the wider community, including information in the form of writing and photography where in today's era photography is the initial source of information to convey messages through visual images. Therefore, the researcher focuses on Roland Barthes' semiotics which discusses more deeply. how the meaning of the signs produced by the visual image. The purpose of this study was to determine the meaning contained in a series of photo stories in the 9 September and 23 September edition of the Rubik Spektra Harian Umum Pikiran Rakyat, about the state of society and the atmosphere of West Nusa Tenggara after the earthquake. In this study using a qualitative approach. The research process without numbers or numbers, becomes a category in the substance which is then interpreted with references, book references, and references to scientific works. The methodology of Roland Barthes' semiotics used by the researcher discusses 3 meanings of signs including the first discussing denotation how to explain the first layer of direct explanation when looking at journalistic photos and explaining the meaning contained in the object, while the second stage is the connotation of a discussion about an object. The signs that can be seen in the interpretation of a photo of a person can be explained at the next stage in the meaning of myth / mythology, explaining that how the reality that occurs in photos is very much explained by its true condition, because journalistic photos are a mirror of the reality that occurs in the social community. All of these researchers describe in eighteen photos of Rubik Spektra's story how to explain the 3 meanings of Roland Barthes' semiotic analysis signs regarding photos after the earthquake that occurred in West Nusa Tenggara. The aim is to convey messages through visuals so that the public knows what the post-natural disaster is like. . In this case the researcher closely follows the elements of research from Roland Bartehes' semiotics about the meaning of photojournalism which contains messages about the three meanings above.
