Abstract
Islamic boarding school is an educational institution in improving science, religion and general, by having a unique teaching system and has a very good influence for the progress of science and morals. Life in boarding school is very different from the life of general public schools. Students are required to live in school dormitories. In the dormitory, the students are required to comply with all existing regulations, not only the rules of the school, but also the rules of the dormitories where they live. By seeing the students' activities that are so varied, the social phenomenon experienced by the students has its own characteristics. This kind of pressure causes on how they socialize, either with friends, or families they can not meet. The purpose of this research is to know the influence of self concept and social support to social adjustment of the students. The method used is quantitative study with multiple linear regression analysis where self concept and social support are as independent variable and social adjustment is as dependent variable. The subject of this research is 94 students of Pondok Pesantren Al-Basyariyah Bandung. The results show that partially, through t-test results, there is a significant influence of self-concept on social adjustment, as well as from social support variables to social adjustment. There is also a simultaneous influence of self-concept and social support for social adjustment. Abstrak Pondok pesantren merupakan lembaga pendidikan yang bergerak dalam peningkatan ilmu agama maupun umum, dengan memiliki sistem pengajaran yang unik serta memiliki pengaruh yang sangat baik bagi kemajuan ilmu penetahuan dan akhlak. Kehidupan di pondok pesantren sangatlah berbeda dengan kehidupan pendidikan di sekolah umum. Santri diwajibkan untuk tinggal di dalam asrama pondok pesantren. Mereka diharuskan mematuhi segala peraturan yang ada, bukan hanya peraturan dari sekolah, melainkan juga peraturan di asrama dan pondok pesantren. Melihat aktivitas santri yang begitu bervariasi, fenomena yang dialami para santri memiliki ciri khasnya tersendiri. Tekanan semacam ini berakibat pada cara sosialisasi santri, baik dengan teman, maupun keluarga yang tidak bisa mereka temui. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh konsep diri dan dukungan sosial terhadap penyesuaian sosial santri. Metode yang digunakan adalah studi kuantitatif dengan analisis regresi linier berganda. Populasi berjumlah 94 orang santri Pondok Pesantren Al-Basyariyah Kabupaten Bandung. Hasil Uji-t menunjukkan bahwa secara parsial, terdapat pengaruh signifikan dari konsep diri terhadap penyesuaian sosial, begitupun dukungan sosial terhadap penyesuaian sosial, serta terdapat pula pengaruh secara simultan konsep diri dan dukungan sosial terhadap penyesuaian sosial.
