Abstract
Seeing the phenomenon in the field, there are still many students who have not seriously followed learning, resulting in low learning independence and the ability to solve student problems in PAI subjects. The purpose of this study is to analyze: (1) To find out PAI's learning towards learning independence by using the application of distance learning class VIII SMPN 9 Bandung. (2) To find out PAI's learning to solve students' learning problems by using the application of distance learning in class VIII SMPN 9 Bandung. (3) To find out PAI's learning towards learning independence and the ability to solve student learning problems by using the application of distance learning in class VIII SMPN 9 Bandung. The approach used in this research is the quantitative approach. This approach collects information, interpretation of data, and results obtained. The method in this study used is a quasi experiment using a pattern of non equivalent control group design, namely tests before treatment and after. The results of the research obtained are: First, PAI Learning by applying distance learning proved that there was an increase in students' learning independence in the experimental class after the second stage of post test compared to classes that did not use Distance learning. The questionnaire results showed that the learners had the highest average score of 4.66 if previously 3.40. Seeing this, it can be concluded that there is a significant difference from the application of distance learning to the independence of student learning, which increased by 1.26%. Second, after carrying out learning and teaching activities by applying distance learning in experimental classes. Researchers saw from the data on the problem-solving ability of pre-test students, namely 3.40 which increased by 1.23% because after being given special treatment had a score of 4.63. While in the control class there is only a slight improvement because distance learning is not applied. Third, there were significant differences from the application of distance learning to students' learning independence and student problem-solving ability. The test results data proved that with a sig value of 0.00 < 0.05 showed that H1 received H0 was rejected. So it can be concluded that Distance Learning has proven effective in increasing learning independence and the ability to solve student problems.
