Abstract
Bilingualism is one of the topics studied in sociolinguistics with the linguistic phenomena that exist in society. Bilingualism is the result of language contact between groups of people who speak minority languages, the term bilingualism is the ability of a person to master two languages equally. The communication used in this conversation is casual or informal, with the reason that it is more often used in daily activities and aims to create a friendly atmosphere with the other person. This study discusses the level of bilingualism and the factors that make a person bilingual. Sources taken in this study from video podcasts belonging to ‘Deddy Corbuzier with Renatta Moeloek’ will use qualitative research methods and the theory of Dell Hymes and Weinreich (1988) the results found in this study is the level of bilingualism possessed by Deddy and Renatta in the video podcast is the level of subordinating bilingualism.
