Abstract
INDONESIA : Limbah laboratorium merupakan salah satu limbah dalam ruang lingkup kecil yang mengandung logam berat, bahan organik serta bersifat beracun, mudah terbakar, mudah meledak, korosif, iritasi, dan radioaktif sehingga dapat merusak lingkungan apabila tidak melalui proses pengolahan dengan baik. Upaya untuk mengurangi pencemaran limbah cair dapat dilakukan pengolahan limbah menggunakan metode kombinasi netralisasi, elektrokoagulasi, dan ozonisasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis efisiensi metode kombinasi netralisasi, elektrokoagulasi, dan ozonisasi dalam pengolahan limbah cair laboratorium kimia ditinjau dari parameter pH, BOD, COD, TSS, TDS, kadar logam Cu, Cr, Zn, Cd, Pb, Fe, dan Ni. Tahap awal dilakukan netralisasi dengan NaOH 2,5 M hingga mencapai pH netral, kemudian proses elektrokoagulasi dilakukan dengan sistem batch menggunakan sepasang plat elektroda yang terbuat dari aluminium (Al) berukuran panjang 40 cm dan lebar 27 cm sebagai anoda dan katoda, tegangan 3,87 volt, arus 14,44 A serta waktu kontak 40 menit. Lalu, dilakukan proses ozonisasi dengan waktu kontak 40 menit. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan nilai efisiensi penurunan dari pengolahan limbah yaitu TDS 60,86%, kadar logam Cu 63,9% dan Cd 100% serta peningkatan nilai pH sebesar 71,3%. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa parameter TSS, TDS, Logam Cu, Zn, Cd, Pb dan Cr sudah memenuhi baku mutu yang disyaratkan dalam Peraturan Menteri Lingkungan Hidup No. 5 Tahun 2014. ENGLISH : Laboratory wastewater is one of the wastes in a small scope that contains heavy metals, organic materials and is toxic, flammable, explosive, corrosive, irritating, and radioactive. Therefore, it can damage the environment if it is not processed properly. Efforts to reduce liquid waste pollution can be carried out by using a combination of neutralization, electrocoagulation, and ozonation methods to treat wastewater. This study aims to analyze the efficiency of the combination method of neutralization, electrocoagulation, and ozonation in chemical laboratory wastewater treatment using parameters pH, BOD, COD, TSS, TDS, levels of Cu, Cr, Zn, Cd, Pb, Fe, and Ni. The initial stage is neutralization with 2.5 M NaOH until it reaches a neutral pH, then the electrocoagulation process is carried out in a batch system using a pair of electrode plates made of aluminum (Al) measuring 40 cm long and 27 cm wide as anode and cathode, voltage 3.87 volts, a current of 14.44 A and a contact time of 40 minutes. Then, the ozonation process was carried out with a contact time of 40 minutes. The results show that the decreasing efficiency value of waste treatment are TDS 60.86%, metal content of Cu 63.9% and Cd 100% and an increase in pH value of 71.3%. The results show that the parameters of TSS, TDS, Metals Cu, Zn, Cd, Pb, and Cr have met the quality standards required in the Regulation of the Minister of the Environment No. 5 of 2014.
