Abstract

Alvira Agatha Putri Ryansyah: “Diplomasi ASEAN Dalam Upaya Penanganan Konflik di Myanmar Pasca Kudeta 2020 – 2021” Dalam penelitian ini focus yang dibahas adalah bagaimana proses diplomasi yang dilakukan oleh ASEAN dalam menangani konflik kudeta yang terjadi di Myanmar, serta melihat faktor – faktor yang mendorong adanya diplomasi tersebut dan dampak yang dihasilkan dari diplomasi yang dilakukan oleh ASEAN dalam upaya penanganan konflik di Myanmar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan bagaimana proses diplomasi yang dilakukan ASEAN serta dampak dari diplomasi ASEAN terhadap penanganan konflik yang terjadi di Myanmar. Penelitian ini ditunjang dengan teori peran, teori diplomasi dan juga teori soft power dan dilakukan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian deskriptif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bagaimana proses diplomasi yang dilakukan ASEAN baik diplomasi secara politik untuk membuka dialog antara pemangku kepentingan di Myanmar ataupun diplomasi secara kemanusiaan untuk membantu Myanmar bertahan melewati krisis yang terjadi terutama pada saat kudeta berlangsung. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga menggambarkan faktor – faktor yang menjadi pertimbangan bagi ASEAN untuk melakukan diplomasi dalam upaya penanganan konflik di Myanmar serta melihat bagaimana dampak diplomasi tersebut terhadap stabilitas politik Myanmar . Dimana, sejauh ini diplomasi ASEAN belum menghasilkan dampak konkrit dalam upaya penanganan konflik di Myanmar terutama dalam pemulihan stabilitas politik Myanmar. Alvira Agatha Putri Ryansyah: “ASEAN Diplomacy in Efforts to Handle Conflicts in Myanmar Post Coup 2020-2021” This study aims to describe how the diplomatic process carried out by ASEAN and the impact of ASEAN diplomacy on the handling of conflicts that occurred in Myanmar. This research is supported by role theory, diplomacy theory and also soft power theory and is carried out using a qualitative approach with descriptive research type. The results of this study show how the diplomatic process carried out by ASEAN, whether political diplomacy to open dialogue between stakeholders in Myanmar or humanitarian diplomacy to help Myanmar survive the crisis that occurred especially during the coup took place. In addition, this study also describes the factors that are considered for ASEAN to carry out diplomacy in efforts to handle conflicts in Myanmar and see how the impact of diplomacy has on Myanmar's political stability. Where, so far ASEAN diplomacy has not produced a concrete impact in efforts to handle conflicts in Myanmar, especially in restoring Myanmar's political stability.
