Abstract
INDONESIA : Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan antara celebrity worship dan kontrol diri dengan perilaku konsumtif pada remaja penggemar K-Pop yang merupakan fandom dari big 4 agency. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian korelasional dengan menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data berupa skala likert yaitu skala celebrity worship, kontrol diri dan skala perilaku konsumtif. Subjek dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 135 orang penggemar melalui teknik pengambilan sampel yaitu purposive sampling. Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan aplikasi google form yang berisi instrumen penelitian kemudian disebar melalui media sosial dan diolah menggunakan bantuan aplikasi SPSS. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan positif yang signifikan antara celebrity worship dengan perilaku konsumtif dengan koefisien koralasi sebesar 0,259 dan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,002 < 0,05. Artinya semakin tinggi celebrity worship maka semakin tinggi pula perilaku konsumtif pada remaja penggemar K-Pop dan begitu sebaliknya. Selain itu, terdapat hubungan negatif yang signifikan antara kontrol diri dengan perilaku konsumtif koefisien koralasi sebesar -0,272 dan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,001 < 0,05. Artinya adalah apabila semakin tinggi kontrol diri maka semakin rendah perilaku konsumtif pada diri penggemar K-Pop dan begitu sebaliknya. ENGLISH : The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between celebrity worship and self-control with consumptive behavior in young K-Pop fans who are big 4 agency fandoms. This research is a correlational study using data collection techniques in the form of a Likert scale, namely the celebrity worship scale, self-control and consumptive behavior scale. Subjects in this study amounted to 135 fans through a sampling technique that is purposive sampling. Data collection was carried out using the Google form application which contained research instruments which were then distributed via social media and processed using the SPSS application. The results of this study indicate that there is a significant positive relationship between celebrity worship and consumptive behavior with a correlation coefficient of 0.259 and a significance value of 0.002 <0.05. This means that the higher the celebrity worship, the higher the consumptive behavior of young K-Pop fans and vice versa. In addition, there is a significant negative relationship between self-control and consumptive behavior with a correlation coefficient of -0.272 and a significance value of 0.001 <0.05. This means that the higher the self-control, the lower the consumptive behavior of K-Pop fans and vice versa.
