Abstract

Sintesis cangkang telur menggunakan ball milling dengan memvariasikan waktu penumbukan (2 jam, 4 jam, 6 jam, 8 jam dan 10 jam). Pada penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuat dan mengkarakterisasi koloid mikro-kalsium dari cangkang telur, dan untuk mengetahui ukuran partikel menggunakan metode ball milling. Hasil dari sintesis cangkang telur pada analisis ayakan didapatkan untuk mengetahui ikuran partikel dari setiap variasi waktu ball milling, maka hasil dari ball milling yang paling banyak yaitu pada waktu 10 jam yaitu 119 gram atau 88% dari total serbuk yang digunakan. Untuk hasil koloid mikro-kalsium pada setiap sampel variasi waktu dilakukan karakterisasi laju pengendapan, viskositas dan Uji FTIR Spectroscopy. Pada laju pengendapan sampel yang paling lama pengendap yaitu sampel variasi waktu 10 jam dengan ukuran partikel <76 μm. Hasil nilai viskositas terbesar didapatkan pada sampel variasi waktu 10 jam sebesar 362,9 Cp. Sementara untuk hasil karakterisasi FTIR menunjukan adanya ikatan kimia pada koloid mikro- kalsium seperti Ca-O, CO−2, N, P, dan K. Synthesis of egg shells using ball milling by varying the mashing time (2 hours, 4 hours, 6 hours, 8 hours and 10 hours). In this study the aims were to make and characterize mikro-calcium colloids from egg shells, and to determine the particle size of the ball milling method. The results of egg shell synthesis on sieve analysis were obtained to determine particle size from each variation in ball milling time, so the results of ball milling were the most numerous, namely at 10 hours, namely 119 grams or 88% of the total powder used. For the mikro-calcium colloid results in each time variation sample, the characterization of the settling rate, viscosity and FTIR Spectroscopy test was carried out. At the sample deposition rate the longest was the 10 hour time variation sample with a particle size <76 μm. The results of the largest viscosity value were obtained in the 10 hour time variation sample of 362.9 Cp. Meanwhile, the FTIR characterization results show the presence of chemical bonds in mikro-calcium colloids such as Ca-O, CO−2, N, P, and K.
