Abstract
INDONESIA: Keterampilan berpikir kritis merupakan salah satu keterampilan tingkat tinggi yang perlu dimiliki untuk menghadapi peralihan era revolusi industri 4.0 menuju era society 5.0. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh penggunaan media science comic berbantu webtoon terhadap peningkatan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa pada materi pencemaran lingkungan. Indikator keterampilan berpikir kritis terdiri dari memberikan penjelasan sederhana, membangun keterampilan dasar, membuat inferensi, memberikan penjelasan sederhana, dan menyusun strategi dan taktik. Penelitian ini dilakukan menggunakan metode quasi experiment dengan desain penelitian nonequivalent control group design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini yaitu seluruh siswa kelas VII di salah satu MTs swasta di Kota Bandung. Sampel penelitian yang digunakan yakni dua kelas yang diambil menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Instrumen penelitian terdiri atas lembar observasi, angket, dan soal uraian berjumlah 15 soal. Analisis data untuk mengetahui peningkatan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa dilakukan melalui uji N-Gain, uji prasyarat, dan uji hipotesis. Hasil yang diperoleh dari uji N-Gain nilai pretest dan posttest di kelas eksperimen yaitu sebesar 0,56 yang menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan media science comic berbantu webtoon memberikan pengaruh sedang terhadap peningkatan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa pada materi pencemaran lingkungan. ENGLISH: Critical thinking skills are one of the high-level skills that need to be possessed to face the transition from the industrial revolution 4.0 to the era of society 5.0. The aim of this study was to analyze the effect of using webtoon-assisted science comic media on improving students' critical thinking skills on environmental pollution. Indicators of critical thinking skills consist of giving simple explanations, building basic skills, making inferences, giving simple explanations, and developing strategies and tactics. This research was conducted using a quasi-experimental method with a nonequivalent control group design. The population in this study were all students of class VII in one of the private MTs in the city of Bandung. The research samples used were two classes taken using a purposive sampling technique. The research instrument consisted of observation sheets, questionnaires, and 15 essay questions. Data analysis to find out the increase in students' critical thinking skills was carried out through the N-Gain test, prerequisite test, and hypothesis test. The results obtained from the N-Gain test pretest and posttest values in the experimental class were 0.56 which indicated that the use of comic science media assisted by webtoons had a moderate effect on improving students' critical thinking skills on environmental pollution material.
