Abstract

Liberal feminism is a stream of feminism, in which feminism itself is a movement that arises because of the unrest felt by woman and man who are where of the inequality between them social life. This movement refers to the theory of equality between men and women. Women who are meant to get women's rights. Ending the difference makes the feminist movement, which has several streams, one of which is liberal feminism. This study analyzes the characteristics of Moana in the film Moana (2016). Researchers use Rosemarie Tong's theory to identify liberal feminism and Murphy's theory to explore Moana's features. The characteristics of a person have various types. Therefore, this research shows the aspects of the character Moana, who has multiple types of attributes so that, in the film, Moana gets several parts that show liberal feminism.
