Abstract
This research discusses types of adverbial clauses and type of video has Raphael Gomes created where he uses adverbial clauses the most. The objectives of this research are to investigate adverbial clauses which are found in Raphael Gomes’s YouTube videos, and to investigate type of video has Raphael Gomes created where he uses adverbial clauses the most and the percentage of the most frequently used type of adverbial clause in that video. This research uses a qualitative descriptive by Heigham and Crooker (2009). To find the types of adverbial clause, the writer uses the theory proposed by Bernd Kortmann (2001). From the research result, the writer found 149 data: 22 data on Time adverbial clause, 17 data on Modal adverbial clause, 109 data on Causal and Conditional (CCC) adverbial clause, and 1 datum on Other adverbial clause. From the research result, it can be conclude that Raphael Gomes uses all type of adverbial clause in his videos. Then, Raphael Gomes's video type used the adverbial clause the most: a cooking tutorial type with 45 data and the adverbial clause most frequently used by Raphael Gomes is the Causal and Conditional Clause (CCC) adverbial clause. The writer found 36 data of CCC adverbial clauses with a percentage of 80%.
