Abstract
This study investigates the reasons students become bored quickly in seventh and eighth grade EFL classes. It aims to identify the factors contributing to this boredom and provide solutions for both the researcher and readers. The research aims to help students understand and manage the various factors causing their boredom in EFL classes. This research used a qualitative research design to analyze the teacher strategies in creating a joyful classroom management, especially for junior high school students. To gathering data, the researcher investigated the teacher's experiences by used a narrative inquiry study. This study used modified Rohmah's (2019) theory, which has five techniques for classroom enjoyment. The research findings that boredom in class can be caused by factors like mastering elementary school material, taking courses outside school, learning from video games, fatigue from full-day school, personal problems, and menstruation. Teachers should prioritize students' mood and comfort in learning. Strategies like video content, PowerPoint media, worksheets, games, and fill the blank lyrics help create a joyful classroom environment, preventing boredom and enhancing students' skills. It can be concluded that students' boredom in EFL classes is influenced by factors such as mastery of elementary school material, extracurricular activities, video game use, fatigue, personal issues, and menstruation. Teachers employ strategies to prevent boredom.
