Abstract

INDONESIA : Tanaman sawi putih (Brassica rapa L.) merupakan tanaman sayuran ini banyak disukai oleh masyarakat di Indonesia karena memiliki rasa yang enak dengan kandungan gizinya yang cukup tinggi diantaranya yaitu vitamin A yang bermanfaat untuk menjaga kesehatan mata. Seiring dengan pertambahan jumlah penduduk di Indonesia, kebutuhan dan permintaan pasar terhadap tanaman sawi putih pun semakin meningkat. Permasalahan yang sering terjadi dalam budidaya tanaman sawi putih adalah menurunya kualitas dan kuantitas hasil panen akibat serangan organisme pengganggu tanaman seperti hama dan penyakit. Ulat Tritip (Plutella xylostella L.) menjadi salah satu satu hama yang banyak menyerang tanaman sawi putih. Gejala serangannya berupa rusaknya daun yang mengakibatkan berkurangnya hasil produksi. Penggunaan pestisida merupakan salah satu metode pengendalian hama. Pestisida sintetis memiliki beberapa dampak yang buruk bagi makhluk hidup dan lingkungannya, oleh karena itu perlu adanya solusi alternatif yaitu pemanfaatan pestisida nabati yang ramah lingkungan. Tanaman Ajeran (Bidens pilosa) mengandung berbagai senyawa racun bagi hama salah satunya flavanoid, sehingga berpotensi untuk dijadikan sebagai pestisida nabati. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui pengaruh ekstrak ajeran (Bidens pilosa) terhadap serangan ulat tritip (Plutella xylostela L.) pada tanaman sawi putih (Brassica rapa L.). Penelitian dilaksanakan di lahan Kampung Tanara, Desa Banjarsari, Kecamatan Pangalengan, Kabupaten Bandung. Penelitian menggunakan metode Rancangan Acak Kelompok non faktorial, yang terdiri 5 taraf perlakuan yaitu, P0= 0%, P1= 10%, P2= 20%, P3= 40%, P4= 60%, dengan 5 kali ulangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian ekstrak ajeran berpengaruh nyata dengan konsentrasi terbaik yaitu 60% dibuktikan dengan data analisis parameter mortalitas, efikasi, intensitas serangan, jumlah daun, bobot basah dan bobot kering tanaman. ENGLISH : Chinese Cabbage plant (Brassica rapa L.) is a vegetable plant that is widely favored by people in Indonesia because it has a good taste with a fairly high nutritional content including vitamin A which is beneficial for maintaining eye health. Along with the increase in population in Indonesia, the need and market demand for Chinese Cabbage plants is also increasing. The problem that often occurs in the cultivation of Chinese cabbage crops is the decline in the quality and quantity of yields due to attacks by plant disruptors such as pests and diseases. Cabbage caterpillar (Plutella xylostella L.) is one of the pests that attack Chinese cabbage plants. Symptoms of the attack include leaf damage resulting in reduced production. The use of pesticides is one of the methods of pest control. Synthetic pesticides have several adverse effects on living things and the environment, therefore it is necessary to have an alternative solution, namely the use of environmentally friendly vegetable pesticides. Hairy Beggarticks plant (Bidens pilosa) contains various toxic compounds for pests, one of which is flavanoid, so it has the potential to be used as a vegetable pesticide. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of hairy beggarticks extract (Bidens pilosa) on the attack of cabbage caterpillars (Plutella xylostela L.) on Chinese cabbage (Brassica rapa L.) plants. The research was conducted in Tanara Village, Banjarsari Village, Pangalengan District, Bandung Regency. The research used a non-factorial Randomized Block Design method, which consisted of 5 treatment levels, namely, P0 = 0%, P1 = 10%, P2 = 20%, P3 = 40%, P4 = 60%, with 5 replicates. The results showed that the application of ajeran extract had a significant effect with the best concentration of 60% as evidenced by data analysis of mortality parameters, efficacy, attack intensity, number of leaves, wet weight and dry weight of plants.
