Abstract

Major Informatics Engineering This research introduces an advanced Pharmacy Management System tailored for Three Stars Pharmacy in Somalia. The system aims to enhance security, accuracy, and efficiency in drug store management. Three Stars Pharmacy serves as a comprehensive pharmaceutical care provider and a wellness hub, focusing not only on high-quality products but also on professional guidance from licensed pharmacists. The developed system is sophisticated, built on robust theoretical foundations, ensuring seamless operations and an improved user experience. By dedicating this system to the pharmacy and its dedicated staff, it becomes an investment in the future of the pharmacy, promising enhanced efficiency, improved customer service, and secure operations. The system addresses current challenges in pharmacy management systems, mitigating errors, inefficiencies, and manual processes. The research methodology employs a comprehensive mixed-methods approach, combining qualitative insights from pharmacist interviews with quantitative data analysis related to prescription management and inventory tracking. The collaboration with software developers results in a user-friendly system, emphasizing real-time inventory tracking, automated prescription management, and integration with healthcare databases. The expected outcomes include heightened operational efficiency, a significant reduction in medication errors, improved inventory management, an enriched patient experience, and overall cost-effectiveness. This research endeavours to revolutionize pharmacy management in Somalia, providing a streamlined and error-free system benefiting both pharmacists and patients.
