Abstract

Semiotics is the branches of linguistics. Semiotics is a scientific discipline and analytical method that can examine the signs contained in an object to find out the meaning contained in the object. The Trichotomy theory is tools to interpret object, in Trichotomy theory where there are Representamen, Object, and Interpretant. The Representamen is the physical or perceivable aspect of the sign that stands for something else in this research refers to how Doja Cat show satanic context in her Instagram post. This can be a word, image, sound, or any other perceivable form. The object is the referent or the thing to which the sign refers. It is the concept or entity that the representamen stands for, it means the satanic symbol itself. The interpretant is the understanding or interpretation that a user of the sign has. It is the meaning that is derived from the interaction between the representamen and the object. The object use in this research is Doja Cat and Fanbase Instagram post. The reason researchers took Instagram Doja Cat and fans is because, Doja cat is an artist and musician who has considerable influence on digital platforms. moreover, Doja cat is indicated to often insert satanic elements in her Instagram posts that contain negative messages. The form of the method used in this research is qualitative research. This form of research was chosen because it produces written descriptive data that explain the process of semiotic analysis contained in Doja Cat and Fanbase’s Instagram post. The result of analyzing 10 data, researcher have a conclusion that based on the results of the analysis, Doja Cat and Fanbase posts present symbols that represent satanic symbols. These symbols have their own satanic meaning. Semiotika adalah cabang dari ilmu linguistik. Semiotika merupakan suatu disiplin ilmu dan metode analisis yang dapat mengkaji tanda-tanda yang terdapat pada suatu objek untuk mengetahui makna yang terkandung dalam objek tersebut. Teori Trikotomi merupakan alat untuk memaknai objek, dalam teori Trikotomi terdapat Representamen, Object, dan Interpretant. Representamen adalah aspek fisik atau yang dapat dilihat dari tanda yang mewakili sesuatu yang lain, dalam penelitian ini mengacu pada bagaimana Doja Cat menunjukkan konteks satanisme dalam unggahannya di Instagram. Hal ini dapat berupa kata, gambar, suara, atau bentuk lain yang dapat dilihat. Objek adalah referen atau hal yang dirujuk oleh tanda. Ini adalah konsep atau entitas yang diwakili oleh representamen, yang berarti simbol setan itu sendiri. Interpretant adalah pemahaman atau interpretasi yang dimiliki oleh pengguna tanda. Ini adalah makna yang berasal dari interaksi antara representamen dan objek. Objek yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah postingan Instagram Doja Cat dan Fanbase. Alasan peneliti mengambil Instagram Doja Cat dan fans karena, Doja cat merupakan artis dan musisi yang memiliki pengaruh yang cukup besar di platform digital. selain itu, Doja cat terindikasi sering menyisipkan unsur setan di dalam postingan Instagramnya yang mengandung pesan negatif. Bentuk metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif. Bentuk penelitian ini dipilih karena menghasilkan data deskriptif tertulis yang menjelaskan proses analisis semiotika yang terdapat pada postingan Instagram Doja Cat dan Fanbase. Dari hasil analisis terhadap 10 data, peneliti mendapatkan kesimpulan bahwa berdasarkan hasil analisis, postingan Doja Cat dan Fanbase menampilkan simbol-simbol yang merepresentasikan simbol-simbol setan. Simbol-simbol tersebut memiliki makna satanic.
