Abstract

INDONESIA : Berpikir kritis merupakan keterampilan esensial abad ke-21 yang membentuk pola pikir reflektif dan selektif dalam menghadapi arus informasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik melalui penerapan model pembelajaran STAD berbantu Nearpod pada materi perubahan lingkungan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah quasi experiment dengan desain nonequivalent control group. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan keterlaksanaan pembelajaran pada kelas eksperimen mencapai 91,5% untuk kinerja guru dan 88,15% pada aktivitas peserta didik, sedangkan kelas kontrol memperoleh 83,5% dan 79%. Keterampilan berpikir kritis pada kelas eksperimen menunjukkan nilai posttest rata-rata 84,74 dengan peningkatan N-Gain 0,70 (kategori tinggi), sementara kelas kontrol memperoleh nilai posttest 78,52 dengan N-Gain 0,59 (kategori sedang). Hasil uji hipotesis menggunakan independent sample t test menunjukkan nilai sig. (2-tailed) 0,00 < 0,05 sehingga H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima. Temuan ini diperkuat dengan nilai effect size sebesar 0,94 yang termasuk kategori besar. Selain itu, respons peserta didik terhadap pembelajaran tergolong baik dengan rata-rata 72%. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa model STAD berbantu Nearpod berpengaruh positif terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis serta berpotensi untuk diterapkan pada variabel pembelajaran lain. ENGLISH : Critical thinking is an essential 21st-century skill that fosters reflective and selective reasoning in responding to the flow of information. This study aims to improve students’ critical thinking skills through the implementation of the STAD model assisted by Nearpod in the environmental change topic. The research employed a quasi-experimental method with a non-equivalent control group design. The results indicated that the implementation of learning in the experimental class reached 91.5% for teacher performance and 88.15% for student activity, while the control class obtained 83.5% and 79% respectively. Students’ critical thinking skills in the experimental class showed an average posttest score of 84.74 with an N-Gain of 0.70 (high category), whereas the control class achieved a posttest score of 78.52 with an N-Gain of 0.59 (medium category). The hypothesis test using the Independent Sample T-Test revealed a sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.00 < 0.05, indicating that H0 was rejected and H1 accepted. This finding was reinforced by an effect size of 0.94, which belongs to the large category. In addition, students’ responses toward learning were positive, with an average of 72%. Therefore, it can be concluded that the STAD model assisted by Nearpod positively influences critical thinking skills and has the potential to be applied to other learning variables
