Abstract
ENGLISH : Differentiated learning is an approach that accommodates students’ diverse readiness levels, interests, and learning profiles. According to Carol Ann Tomlinson, differentiation can be implemented through adjustments in content, process, and product. In Al-Qur’an Hadith learning, this approach is expected to create learning experiences that meet students’ needs and support their learning motivation. This study aims to describe the planning, implementation, evaluation, and impact of differentiated learning on students’ learning motivation at MAN 2 Bandung. This research employed a qualitative approach using a case study method. According to John W. Creswell, a case study is used to explore a program, event, process, or activity in depth within a bounded case. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis followed the Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña model, while data validity was established through triangulation. The findings show that planning was conducted through mapping students’ learning needs, implementation through differentiation of content, process, and product, and evaluation through diagnostic, formative, and summative assessments followed by feedback, remedial activities, and enrichment. The implementation of differentiated learning showed a positive impact on students’ learning motivation, as reflected in increased participation, enthusiasm, self-confidence, willingness to express opinions, and responsibility in learning. Based on the findings, differentiated learning in Al-Qur’an Hadith at MAN 2 Bandung has been implemented adaptively and centered on students’ needs, contributing positively to their learning motivation.
