Abstract
This translation project is written as a completion for English Vocational Programs at State Islamic University Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung. It is focused on translating of the book entitled “Muslim Women at Work”, for the reason that this book is quite beneficial for Indonesian people since women’s participation in the workplace recognizes the significant problems found in world societies especially in Indonesia which still need to be resolved. This book thus addresses the special link between Islam and women’s participation in the public sphere. Furthermore, this translation project also contains the translation theories, such as the theory of the process, method and strategy of translation based on experts as well as translator experience during translating this translation project, as an additional knowledge that might be useful especially for amateur translators.
