Abstract
INDONESIA: Praktisi cyber public relations perlu bersikap cerdas dalam memahami tren digital di setiap perkembangan zaman, serta dapat memilih platform mana yang cocok digunakan untuk menyebarkan informasi kepada publik. Praktisi public relations diharapkan mampu memanfaatkan serta mengetahui bagaimana cara mengelola media sosial agar mempermudah dalam proses pelaksanaan kegiatan cyber public relations dalam menyebarkan informasi. Hal ini membuat admin akun Instagram @beritakotabandung menerapkan peran cyber public relations dalam memanfaatkan media sosial Instagram sebagai sarana untuk menyebarkan informasi. Akun Instagram @beritakotabandung merupakan akun yang berfokus pada penyebaran informasi seputar kota Bandung. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan pengelolaan akun Instagram @beritakotabandung dalam menyebarkan informasi aktual kepada publik berdasarkan model The Circular Model of Some, yang meliputi bagimana cara membagikan konten, mengoptimalkan pesan, mengelola interaksi dan melibatkan publik. Penelitian ini menggunakan model The Circular Model of Some oleh Regina Luttrell, 2015. Model ini bertujuan untuk memudahkan praktisi dalam proses komunikasi dan interaksi melalui media sosial. Model The Circular Model of Some memiliki empat aspek yang saling berkaitan dan berpengaruh terhadap pengelolaan media sosial, diantaranya meliputi Share (Membagikan), Optimize (Mengoptimalkan), Manage (Mengelola), Engage (Mengikutsertakan). Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa kegiatan pengelolaan akun Instagram @beritakotabandung sesuai dengan empat tahapan dalam teori The Circular Model of Some, yaitu: 1) Tahap membagikan (share) konten, berpartisipasi menggunakan media sosial, menjalin hubungan dengan publik, dan membangun kepercayaan publik. 2) Tahap mengoptimalkan (optimize) pesan dengan menyajikan konten yang relevan dan melakukan komunikasi dua arah. 3) Tahap mengelola (manage) interaksi dengan melakukan media monitoring, berinteraksi secara langsung dan merespon tanggapan dengan cepat. 4) Tahap melibatkan (engage) publik dengan melakukan kolaborasi, mengetahui target audience dan menarik sasaran publik. ENGLISH: Cyber public relations practitioners need to be smart in understanding digital trends in each era, and be able to choose which platform is suitable to use to disseminate information to the public. Public relations practitioners are expected to be able to utilize and know how to manage social media to make it easier in the process of implementing cyber public relations activities in disseminating information. This makes Instagram account admins @beritakotabandung implement the role of cyber public relations in utilizing Instagram social media as a means to disseminate information. @beritakotabandung Instagram account is an account that focuses on disseminating information about the city of Bandung. This study aims to describe the management of Instagram accounts @beritakotabandung in disseminating actual information to the public based on The Circular Model of Some, which includes how to share content, optimize messages, manage interactions and engage the public. This study uses The Circular Model of Some by Regina Luttrell, 2015. This model aims to make it easier for practitioners in the process of communication and interaction through social media. The Circular Model of Some has four aspects that are interrelated and influential on social media management, including Share, Optimize, Manage, and Engage. This study uses qualitative descriptive research methods and data collection techniques through observation and interviews. The results of the study show that Instagram account management activities @beritakotabandung in accordance with the four stages in The Circular Model of Some theory, namely: 1) The stage of sharing content, participating in using social media, establishing relationships with the public, and building public trust. 2) The stage of optimizing messages by presenting relevant content and conducting two-way communication. 3) The stage of managing (manage) interaction by conducting media monitoring, interacting directly and responding quickly. 4) The stage of engaging the public by collaborating, knowing the target audience and attracting public targets.
