Abstract

Traditional teaching and the use of non-interactive tools can be reasons why students feel bored and lose enthusiasm. This research addresses the problem of teaching Arabic due to lack of interest and low academic achievement, making learning in the classroom less active, enthusiastic, and effective. Therefore, teachers need to be creative and innovative in using educational tools by leveraging technological advancements to overcome this problem. Teachers use educational tools such as PowerPoint to enhance students' interest and academic achievement. The research aims to understand interest and academic achievement before and after using the "PowerPoint based on AI Bing" tool at Al-Rifqi Integrated Elementary School in Bandung. The quantitative approach was used in this research because it consists of numerical data analyzed and summarized descriptively using a quasi-experimental pre-test and post-test design method (nonequivalent control group design). The data collection methods were interviews, questionnaires, tests, and documentation. The results showed that interest based on questionnaire facts was at a percentage of 8,33 %, and the academic achievement of students before using the “PowerPoint based on AI Bing Image” tool in the fifth grade at Al-Rifqi Integrated Elementary School in Bandung in the pre-test had an average score of 70,00. Afterward, the interest based on questionnaire facts was at a percentage of 18%, and the academic achievement after using the “PowerPoint based on AI Bing Image” tool in the fifth grade at Al-Rifqi Integrated Elementary School in Bandung in the post-test had a total group score of 2630, and an average score of 100,00. Regarding students' interest, the Fhitung value was 2,442 with a significance level of 0,029 (Sig), which is smaller than 0,05, indicating that the regression model can be used to assume that there is an effect of the independent variable (the “PowerPoint based on AI Bing Image” tool) on the dependent variable (interest). In terms of academic achievement, it is known that the Asymp.Sig (2-tailed) statistical significance value is 0,090, which is greater than 0,05. Therefore, it can be concluded that the hypothesis is accepted. Thus, it can be said that there are differences in Arabic learning outcomes between the experimental and control groups. Due to a significant difference, it can be said that there is an effect of using the “PowerPoint based on AI Bing Image” tool in teaching Arabic to enhance students' academic achievement in the fifth grade at Al-Rifqi Integrated Elementary School in Bandung.
