Abstract

This study examines the image of Muslim l women in the television series “We Are Lady Parts”, which was directed by Nida Manzoor in 2021. Stuart Hall's representation theory and Fatima Mernissi's Islamic feminism are both employed in the study. The purpose of this study was to determine two things: first, how Muslim women are characterized in the television series "We Are Lady Parts" (2021); and second, how the television series represents Muslim women. The study's findings are divided into two categories: first, the depictions of Muslim women in the television series "We Are Lady Parts" (2021) include physical characteristics of the muslim women, Muslim women and their interactions, Muslim women and how they face difficult situations, and Muslim women with their daily activities. Second, the way Muslim women are represented in the television series "We Are Lady Parts" (2021) creates the images of educated Muslim women, Muslim women with a culture of marriage and love, Muslim women with careers and hobbies, and Muslim women with the struggle of misrepresentation.
