Abstract
Teaching process through a variety of techniques, methods, or practical suggestions for enjoyment learning is needed. Thus, students could easily accept and understand the learning process to get the goal of learning itself. Hypnoteaching might be a solution that can help the effective learning process to happen. This teaching technique improvises a learning method that uses positive suggestions to reach the students’ subconscious mind. Hence, it can be used to help the learning process in teaching English grammar. This research is expected to be beneficial for encouraging the students to learn English grammar and hoped to support the English teacher in designing a classroom through practical English grammar that can overcome the students' difficulties The research employed qualitative research design with a case study, specifically employed three instruments: observation, student self-report, and interview. The use of three strategies was meant to triangulate data collecting. In qualitative researchers employ triangulation to examine and confirm the validity of their findings. Participants in this research were students and teachers from SMP YPPKP Soreang. First, the English teacher of the ninth grade, who teaches English. Second, ten ninth-grade students. The ten students of class representatives who were chosen based on their complete data and the option of requesting an additional interview to obtain data from individual participants The conclusion of this study contains two points. The first point of the conclusion is that the process of hypnoteaching technique for English grammar was successfully executed by the English teacher, which proven by the finding in the observation. The second point is students’ and teacher’s perception to the process of hypnoteaching technique in learning English Grammar. The students’ perception describes in tree aspects; affective aspects, cognitive aspects, and conative aspects. While the teacher’s perception shows that the use of hypnoteaching techniques in class is an appropriate technique because it helps students to relax while studying
