Abstract

Perpustakaan merupakan tempat yang menyediakan berbagai bahan pustaka yang digunakan untuk memenuhi kebutuhan sumber orang khususnya untuk mahasiswa. Karena mahasiswa walaupun dari jurusan maupun dari luar, pada kehidupan kesehariannya tidak terlepas dari dunia ilm pengetahuan dengan bentuk dan tampilannya seperti buku, rumus, literatur, dan sebagainya. Buku menjadi kebutuhan primer bagi seorang mahasiswa untuk menambah referensi yang diperlukan sebagai konsumsi ilmu pengetahuan mahasiswa tersebut. Koleksi buku yang semakin banyak dan perpustakaan akan memudahkan banyak orang untuk mencari studi pustaka yang diinginkan. Namun,banyaknya koleksi buku juga akan menyulitkan pembaca dalam mencari buku yang akan dicari. Kemudian untuk penyelesaian masalah tersebut maka akan diterapkan teknik klasifikasi data buku dengan menggunakan metode Support Vector Machine (SVM) pada proses pengelolaan buku di perpustakaan. Teknik klasifikasi merupakan pengkategorian buku berdasarkan kategori buku yang ada di jurusan Teknik Informatika. Pada penelitian ini, teknik klasifikasi tersebut akan diterapkan pada perpustakaan Jurusan Teknik Informatika Universitas Islam Negeri Bandung berdasarkan digunakankan website. Buku-buku yang memiliki kategori sama sesuai kelompok keilmuan akan digunakan sebagai bahan analisis untuk memberikan rekomendasi judul buku yang lain kepada mahasiswa yang membutuhkan referensi buku yang anda cari. Library provides a variety of materials used to fulfill the needs of all people, especially for students. Because the student, even from whichever department comes from, in his daily life cannot be separated from the world of science with diverse forms and appearances such as books, journals, literature, and so forth. Books become a primary need for a student to add the necessary reference as the student's science consumption. A growing collection of books in the Library will make it easier for many people to find for needed references of study. However, the large collection of books will also make it difficult for readers to find books to read. Then to solve the problem it will be applied classification techniques book data using the method of Support Vector Machine (SVM) on the book management process in the library. Classification technique is an categorization of books based on scientific groups in the department of Informatics Engineering. In this research, the classification technique will be applied to the Library of Informatics Department of Bandung State Islamic University based digital using the website. Books that have the same category according to the scientific group will be used as an analytical material to provide recommendations of other titles to students who need the reference book he is looking for.
