Abstract
INDONESIA : Fenomena pageant atau kontes kecantikan kian marak diperbincangkan di media sosial, khususnya di platform Instagram. Salah satu akun yang aktif menyajikan konten seputar pageant adalah @dpidamu, yang dikenal dengan ciri khas Caption menarik, peliputan langsung (live report), serta dukungan terhadap advokasi sosial yang diusung para kon-testan. Namun demikian, di Indonesia, topik mengenai pageant masih di-anggap tabu dan belum banyak diangkat oleh media arus utama. Minimnya informasi tersebut salah satunya disebabkan oleh keterbatasan jumlah jurnalis yang secara khusus meliput isu ini. Situasi ini mendorong sebagian followers @dpidamu untuk menunjukkan ketertarikan menjadi jurnalis en-tertainment, khususnya di bidang pageant. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui sejauh mana pengaruh konten pageant yang disajikan oleh akun Instagram @dpidamu terhadap minat followers menjadi jurnalis entertainment. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kuantitatif dengan paradigma positivisme. Penelitian ini menguji hubungan antar variabel melalui pengumpulan data statistik menggunakan instrumen berupa kuesioner. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode survei, dengan jumlah re-sponden sebanyak 100 orang yang ditentukan melalui rumus Slovin. Responden merupakan followers aktif akun Instagram @dpidamu yang pernah mengakses atau mengikuti konten pageant di akun tersebut. Penelitian ini didasarkan pada teori Social Learning (Albert Bandura), yang menekankan bahwa seseorang dapat belajar melalui pengamatan terhadap perilaku orang lain, termasuk melalui media sosial, yang kemudian memengaruhi sikap, nilai, dan tindakan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa konten pageant pada akun Instagram @dpidamu memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap minat followers menjadi jurnalis entertainment, dengan nilai koefisien determinasi (R²) sebesar 0,477 atau 47,7%. Sisanya, sebesar 52,3%, dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain yang tidak dibahas dalam penelitian ini. Dari tiga sub variabel inde-penden, yaitu frekuensi, durasi, dan atensi, variabel durasi dan atensi mem-iliki pengaruh signifikan, sementara variabel frekuensi tidak menunjukkan pengaruh yang signifikan. Di antara ketiga variabel, atensi memberikan pengaruh paling besar terhadap minat menjadi jurnalis entertainment. ENGLISH : The phenomenon of pageants or beauty contests is increasingly being discussed through social media, especially on Instagram. One of the account that actively featuring pageant related content is @dpidamu, known for its engaging captions, live reports, and support for the social advocacy initiatives championed by contestants. However, in Indonesia, topics related to pageants are still considered taboo and have not been widely covered by mainstream media. The lack of information is partly due to the lack number of journalists specifically covering the issue. This situation has initiate some followers of @dpidamu to express interest in becoming entertainment journalists, particularly in the field of pageants. This study aims to determine the extent to which the pageant content presented by the Instagram account @dpidamu influences followers' interest in becoming entertainment journalists. The approach used is a quantitative approach with a positivist paradigm. This study examines the relationship between variables through the collection of statistical data using a questionnaire as an instrument. The method used is a survey method, with a sample size of 100 respondents determined using the Slovin formula. The respondents were ac-tive followers of the Instagram account @dpidamu who had accessed or followed pageant content on that account. This study is based on Albert Bandura's Social Learning Theory, which emphasizes that individuals can learn through observing others' behavior, including social media through, which then influences their attitudes, values, and actions. The results of the study indicate that pageant content on the Instagram account @dpidamu has a significant influence on followers' interest in becoming entertainment journalists, with a coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.477 or 47.7%. The remaining 52.3% is influenced by other factors not discussed in this study. Among the three independent sub variables, fre-quency, duration, and attention the duration and attention variables have a significant influence, while the frequency variable does not show a signifi-cant influence. Among the three variables, attention has the greatest influ-ence on interest in becoming an entertainment journalist.
