Abstract

INDONESIA: Sore Ceria merupakan salah satu program unggulan RRI Pro 2 Bandung yang ditujukan bagi pendengar muda dengan format siaran hiburan dan informasi ringan. Sebagai program radio publik, Sore Ceria diproduksi secara sistematis melalui tiga tahapan utama, yaitu praproduksi, produksi, dan pascaproduksi. Keberadaan program ini menjadi bagian dari upaya RRI Pro 2 Bandung untuk tetap relevan dan diminati di tengah persaingan media hiburan yang semakin ketat, terutama di era digital yang mendorong audiens beralih ke platform lain. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan memahami secara mendalam bagaimana proses produksi program Sore Ceria dilakukan, serta menganalisis peran gatekeeper pada setiap tahapan produksi dalam menjaga kualitas dan relevansi siaran. Fokus kajian diarahkan pada proses perencanaan, pelaksanaan siaran, dan evaluasi program yang melibatkan tim produksi dan penyiar. Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teori Gatekeeping yang diperkenalkan oleh Kurt Lewin (1947). Teori ini menekankan pada peran individu atau kelompok yang menentukan aliran informasi dalam suatu proses, sehingga isi siaran dapat disaring dan disesuaikan dengan tujuan program serta kebutuhan audiens. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi, dan dokumentasi terhadap kegiatan produksi program Sore Ceria. Penelitian ini menggunakan paradigma konstruktivisme yang memandang realitas sosial sebagai hasil interaksi manusia dalam lingkungannya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada tahap praproduksi, tim melakukan perencanaan melalui penyusunan agenda siaran, seleksi topik, pemilihan narasumber yang relevan dengan audiens muda, serta penentuan format siaran. Tahap produksi dilaksanakan secara live dan menuntut kemampuan teknis serta komunikasi tinggi dari penyiar yang berperan sebagai gatekeeper utama. Sementara itu, tahap pascaproduksi berfokus pada evaluasi isi dan penyampaian program melalui forum internal dan tanggapan audiens yang digunakan untuk merancang perbaikan program ke depan. Proses produksi ini menunjukkan bahwa peran radio publik bukan hanya sebagai media hiburan, tetapi juga sebagai ruang komunikasi partisipatif, edukatif, dan adaptif terhadap perubahan sosial. ENGLISH: Sore Ceria is one of the flagship programs of RRI Pro 2 Bandung, aimed at young listeners with an entertainment and light-information broadcast format. As a public radio program, Sore Ceria is produced systematically through three main stages: pre-production, production, and post-production. The existence of this program is part of RRI Pro 2 Bandung’s efforts to remain relevant and appealing amidst the growing competition in the entertainment media industry, particularly in the digital era that has encouraged audiences to shift to other platforms. This study aims to explore and understand in depth the production process of the Sore Ceria program, as well as to analyze the role of the gatekeeper in each production stage in maintaining the quality and relevance of the broadcast. The research focuses on the planning process, live broadcast execution, and program evaluation involving both the production team and the announcer. The theoretical framework used in this study is the Gatekeeping theory introduced by Kurt Lewin (1947). This theory emphasizes the role of individuals or groups who control the flow of information in a process, ensuring that broadcast content is filtered and adjusted to the program’s objectives and audience needs. The research employs a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation of the Sore Ceria production activities. This study adopts a constructivist paradigm, which views social reality as the result of human interaction within its environment. The findings reveal that during the pre-production stage, the team planned the program by preparing a broadcast agenda, selecting topics, choosing relevant sources for young audiences, and determining the broadcast format. The production stage was carried out live, requiring high technical and communication skills from the announcer, who also serves as the main gatekeeper. Meanwhile, the post-production stage focused on evaluating the content and delivery of the program through internal forums and audience feedback, which were then used to design future program improvements. This production process demonstrates that public radio functions not only as an entertainment medium but also as a participatory, educational, and socially adaptive communication space.
