Abstract

INDONESIA: Meningkatnya tekanan yang dialami siswa dapat memengaruhi cara mereka dalam menghadapi dan mengelola stres. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keterkaitan self-efficacy dan dukungan sosial dengan coping strategies yang terdiri dari problem-focused coping, emotion-focused coping, dan less useful coping pada siswa kelas 12 MAN 3 Bogor. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan 186 responden yang dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan uji nonparametrik Kruskal-Wallis yang dilanjutkan dengan uji post hoc test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan pada problem-focused coping, emotion-focused coping, dan less useful coping (p < 0.05). Hasil penelitian ini mengartikan bahwa self-efficacy dan dukungan sosial memiliki keterkaitan dengan penggunaan coping strategies pada siswa. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa self-efficacy dan dukungan sosial merupakan sumber daya yang berkaitan dengan cara siswa menghadapi tekanan dan memilih strategi coping yang digunakan. ENGLISH: Increasing levels of stress experienced by students may influence how they cope with academic and non-academic demands. Therefore, this study aimed to examine the association between self-efficacy, social support, and coping strategies, consisting of problem-focused coping, emotion-focused coping, and less useful coping among twelfth grade students at MAN 3 Bogor. This study employed a quantitative approach involving 186 respondents selected using a purposive sampling technique. Data were analyzed using the non-parametric Kruskal-Wallis test, followed by a post hoc test. The results indicated significant differences in problem-focused coping, emotion-focused coping, and less useful coping (p < 0.05). These findings suggest that self-efficacy and social support are associated with the use of coping strategies among students. This study concludes that self-efficacy and social support are important personal and social resources related to how students deal with stress and choose coping strategies.
