Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has had a significant impact on education, triggering changes in learning methods and encouraging the utilization of television media as an alternative educational tool. This study aims to analyze the relationship between audience motives and their level of satisfaction with the "Belajar dari Rumah" program on TVRI during the COVID-19 pandemic. This research also focuses on the context of the audience at SMAS Plus Ibnu Sina Bogor Regency. This research method uses a quantitative approach with a correlation study method using a questionnaire as a data collection method. The research sample consisted of 100 students of SMAS Plus Ibnu Sina Bogor Regency who were viewers of the "Belajar dari Rumah" program on TVRI. Data were obtained through a questionnaire that included indicators of audience motives and their level of satisfaction with the program. The results of data analysis show that there is a positive relationship but has a weak and low relationship between audience motives and their satisfaction in watching the program "Belajar dari Rumah" on TVRI. Viewers' diverse motives such as the desire to get information, strengthen cultural identity, seek entertainment, interact socially, and integrate themselves with the surrounding environment, are closely related to their level of satisfaction with the program.
