This research was conducted with one English teacher at SMK PPN Tanjungsari. This interview and observation was conducted to show that the importance of oral communication skills in the classroom is very influential. Oral communication is a reflection of the enduring and significant role that language and communication play in human society (Halliday,1978). The results of this research show that students' oral communication skills can help interactions between students and teachers become closer, this also improves oral communication skills in the classroom, especially for teachers, is very important for effective teaching and student engagement, and improves oral communication skills in class. Strong oral communication skills enable students to articulate their thoughts clearly, leading to better understanding and retention of academic content. oral communication encourages students to express and defend their ideas, fostering critical thinking skills. Through discussions and debates, students learn to analyze, evaluate, and synthesize information. oral communication activities helps students build confidence in expressing themselves. As students become more comfortable speaking in public, their self-esteem improves, positively impacting their overall well-being. In addition, this research was conducted to serve as a reference and source of information for English teachers who are interested in the benefits of warm-up activities in learning English.
