Abstract
This research aims to find the triadic relationship process and to analyze the meaning of the symbols and taglines on the cover of the vogue magazine in USA edition 2021-2023 using Charles Sanders Peirce's (1991) semiotic theory which includes Representamen, Object, and Interpretant. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. The writer took the symbol and tagline (slogan) on the magazine cover as the object of analysis. Based on the data analysis, the writer found eighteen data describing the semiotic process. The results show that most of the vogue magazine covers have symbolic meanings and taglines that are in accordance with the theme carried in the magazine. The majority of the vogue magazine covers show the concept of comfort, style, and simple designs that are suitable for gala events, parties, work activities and sports. The writer conclusion is that the application of semiotics on the selected magazine covers acquires a special meaning and impression to the reader. The aims is that the message conveyed is not misinterpreted and can be well understood by the reader.
