Abstract

This study aims to analyze the Heroic characteristics of Simba in The Lion King (2019) Movie. This analysis uses qualitative analysis methods, focusing on content analysis using Vogler's hero's journey. The research formulated research questions based on the background, focusing on how conflict develops the main character into a hero and how other characters support Simba as a hero in The Lion King (2019). This research highlights the important roles of antagonists, protagonists, and tritagonists in facilitating Simba's journey to become a hero who is able to restore his throne as king in the Pride Lands. Through the interaction between these characters, Simba is challenged, upholds moral values, and develops into a true hero. Each confrontation and struggle he faces in the story provides him with an opportunity to demonstrate courage and progress towards his role as a true hero.
