Abstract
ENGLISH: The internet has become an inseparable part of K-Pop fans in Indonesia, as it is one of the primary media that can provide platforms for fans to stay connected with the idols they admire, despite the limitations such as relatively long geographic distances. However, idolizing behaviors carried out by admirers on the internet are frequently difficult to regulate and have detrimental implications in everyday life. This study aims to examine the impact of celebrity worship on problematic internet use and the role of self-control as a moderator variable. This research involved 238 K-pop fans on the internet. The data in this study were processed using SPSS version 26 software. Based on the results of multiple regression analysis, it was found that celebrity worship and self-control had a significant influence on celebrity worship both partially and simultaneously. On the other hand, based on PROCESS analysis it was found that self-control did moderate the impact of celebrity worship on problematic internet use in this study.
