Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji fenomena penggunaan Clickbait pada judul berita media daring, dengan fokus pada situs berita Ayobandung.com. Clickbait merupakan strategi penulisan judul yang bertujuan menarik perhatian pembaca agar mengklik tautan berita, meskipun terkadang tidak sesuai dengan isi sebenarnya. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode analisis isi. Data diperoleh melalui dokumentasi dan observasi terhadap beberapa judul berita yang dipublikasikan pada bulan Januari hingga Maret 2025. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar judul berita di situs Ayobandung.com mengandung unsur Clickbait, terutama dalam bentuk kalimat menggantung, hiperbola, dan kata-kata sensasional. Meskipun efektif dalam menarik klik, penggunaan Clickbait yang berlebihan berpotensi menurunkan kredibilitas media dan menyesatkan pembaca. Studi ini menyoroti pentingnya keseimbangan antara strategi menarik perhatian dan penyampaian informasi yang akurat serta etis dalam jurnalisme daring. This study aims to examine the phenomenon of Clickbait use in online media news headlines, focusing on the Ayobandung.com news site. Clickbait is a headline writing strategy aimed at attracting readers' attention and leading them to click on a news link, even though it sometimes does not reflect the actual content. This study used a qualitative approach with content analysis methods. Data were obtained through documentation and observation of several news headlines published from January to March 2025. The research findings indicate that the majority of news headlines on Ayobandung.com contain elements of Clickbait, particularly in the form of hanging sentences, hyperbole, and sensational words. While effective in attracting clicks, excessive use of Clickbait has the potential to undermine media credibility and mislead readers. This study highlights the importance of striking a balance between attention-grabbing strategies and conveying accurate and ethical information in online journalism.
