Abstract

INDONESIA: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh penerapan model pembelajaran berbasis masalah (PBM) terhadap peningkatan keterampilan berpikir kritis dan literasi lingkungan peserta didik pada materi pencemaran lingkungan. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain kuasi-eksperimen dengan kelompok eksperimen yang menerapkan PBM dan kelompok kontrol yang menggunakan metode pembelajaran konvensional. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan berupa tes kemampuan berpikir kritis serta literasi lingkungan, angket, dan lembar observasi aktivitas guru dan siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1) Keterlaksanaan PBM pada kelompok eksperimen sangat baik, baik dari segi aktivitas guru maupun siswa dengan presentase 91,66% dan 80,55%. 2) Terdapat perbedaan peningkatan yang signifikan antara kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol dalam hal kemampuan berpikir kritis dan literasi lingkungan . 3) Analisis korelasi menunjukkan hubungan yang positif dan signifikan antara penerapan PBM dengan peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis dengan nilai korelasi 0,66 dan signifikansi 0,05 dan literasi lingkungan siswa dengan nilai korelasi 0,78 dan signifikansi 0,02. 4. Respon siswa terhadap PBM sangat positif. PBM terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis dan literasi lingkungan siswa pada materi pencemaran lingkungan dengan presentase 82,5%. Oleh karena itu, disarankan agar PBM lebih sering diterapkan dalam pembelajaran, terutama pada materi-materi yang berkaitan dengan lingkungan" ENGLISH: This research aims to analyze the effect of applying the problem-based learning model (PBM) on improving students' critical thinking skills and environmental literacy on environmental pollution material. This research uses a quasi-experimental design with an experimental group that applies PBM and a control group that uses conventional learning methods. The research instruments used were tests of critical thinking skills and environmental literacy, questionnaires, and observation sheets of teacher and student activities. The research results showed that: 1) The implementation of PBM in the experimental group was very good, both in terms of teacher and student activities with percentages of 91.66% and 80.55%. 2) There is a significant difference in improvement between the experimental group and the control group in terms of critical thinking abilities and environmental literacy. 3) Correlation analysis shows a positive and significant relationship between the implementation of PBM and increasing critical thinking skills with a correlation value of 0.66 and a significance of 0.05 and students' environmental literacy with a correlation value of 0.78 and a significance of 0.02. 4. Student responses to PBM are very positive. PBM was proven to be effective in improving students' critical thinking skills and environmental literacy on environmental pollution material with a percentage of 82.5%. Therefore, it is recommended that PBM be applied more often in learning, especially in materials related to the environment"
